Personal Finance/Computer Application

In this course students will develop skills and strategies that promote competence in personal finance and computer literacy. Computer literacy skills include proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel.

Financial literacy skills include the application of knowledge and values when making consumer and financial decisions that impact yourself, your family, and local and global communities. Specific topics covered include: income and careers, money management, credit and debt management planning, saving and investing, becoming a critical consumer, civic financial responsibility, risk management and insurance. Computer skills will be used as tools when exploring financial topics.
This course satisfies the state graduation requirements in Financial Literacy and 21st Century Life and Career Skills. This is a required course for all students at RHS beginning with the class of 2014 and those students who have not taken Computer Applications and Career Exploration
