School-To-Work

The purpose of the School to Career Program is to provide hands-on learning opportunities for seniors who will move directly from school to work or who intend to pursue technical or business training at a two-year college or trade/technical school. Students must remain employed for the entire school year. The teacher/coordinator will meet with the employer and obtain written and oral evaluation of the student’s performance. Students are released from school in the afternoon to go to work and are required to work a minimum of 15 hours per week.

Criteria for placement in this program are completion of Word Processing and Career Exploration, Business Software and Technology. It is recommended that you take an additional business course.
